a screenplay is the basis for almost any film. the stories that i create are relatable whilst also creative. i’m unable to share my screenplays on my website at the moment for a few reasons: if i want to use any of them as films for university, i could end up by copyrighting myself which is obviously not ideal! i’m also writing lots of films for the future after university so i can’t post them incase they end up actually getting produced! however, once i have screenplays that i’ve written AND that have been produced i’ll be able to post them on here.
screenplays i’m currently working on!
i have been working on a 10 minute short film called “You” for the last few months and hopefully i’ll be able to start putting that into production soon once i’ve finished my first year at university (in may) the only reason i’m going to wait is because i want to be able to put all of my time and effort into it and (at the time of writing) i have a lot of university projects going on at the moment which obviously have to take priority!
for the last year and a bit i’ve been developing a film called “The Bone Mobile”. i’d really like this one to become a full feature film one day but for now i’m focusing on writing the narrative. i want to pick a certain part of this narrative to then turn into a short film to get a sense of an audience for this longer film but i’m not sure when the best time for me to produce it is yet! i’m thinking for a 2nd or 3rd year project but am still unsure.
over the last month i’ve been starting to develop a murder short film which is currently without a title. again i hope for this to be a much longer film as it’s looking to be very complicated narrative but i don’t know where it’ll take me as it’s still a very new idea!
to try and practice my screenwriting, i decided to take on the task of adapting “The Housemaid” a book by Frieda McFadden into a film! hopefully i’ll be able to share some extracts of it at some point as it’s an unofficial screenplay but i’ll need to make sure i’m allowed to post it first!
